Hyderabad: The Telangana government has taken a key decision. Every year on February 4th,“Telangana Social Justice Day”CS Shanthikumari issued orders on Thursday, announcing that. After the Congress government came to power, the state cabinet meeting on February 4, 2024, resolved to conduct a BC caste census. As part of this process, the BC caste census was discussed in the assembly on February 4 this year and key details were revealed.
Various programs across the state on February 4th
The government considered this caste census to be very important to get a clear understanding of the backward class population in the state and their socio-economic conditions . As part of this, it was decided to celebrate February 4 as Telangana Social Justice Day. Various programs will be organized across the state on February 4 every year.
Awareness programs and lectures on social justice
Policy decisions related to spiritual, socio-economic, educational, employment, political, caste surveys, approval of recommendations related to sub-classification of Scheduled Castes, awareness programs on social justice, lectures, cultural programs, recognition awards, and welfare camps will be organized. The BC Welfare Department will coordinate these programs across the state. CS Shanthikumari stated that all the welfare departments of the government should actively participate in these programs and take steps to successfully organize the Social Justice Day.
