CSIR NET JRF Salary & Benefits 

Candidates qualifying for CSIR NET JRF are given a fellowship stipend of ₹37,000 per month for the first two years. In case of satisfactory evaluation, the fellowship is upgraded to ₹42,000 per month as a Senior Research Fellowship (SRF) for the next three years. In addition, a House Rent Allowance (HRA) of 8% to 27% is provided depending on the location of the research institute. Contingency grants are also available to fellows for research-related expenses. 

  

CSIR NET Assistant Professor Salary 

Candidates who clear CSIR NET and get appointed as Assistant Professor in universities and colleges are paid a monthly salary between ₹57,700 and ₹1,82,400 as per the 7th Pay Commission. Besides the basic pay, professors are entitled to Dearness Allowance (DA), HRA, and Travel Allowance (TA), making the overall package attractive.
