The new Chief Minister of Delhi will take the oath of office on February 19th!

New Delhi: It is well-known that the BJP has secured a majority in Delhi, winning 48 out of the 70 assembly seats in the recent elections. In contrast, the Aam Aadmi Party could only manage 22 seats. With this, the BJP is preparing to form the government in Delhi, and preparations for the same have already begun.

However, there is still no clarity on who will be the Chief Ministerial candidate. Several prominent leaders' names are being considered for the role. Reports suggest that the BJP high command has already set a date for the formation of the government in Delhi. Sources indicate that a list of 15 MLAs has been prepared, out of which nine will be shortlisted to finalize the CM, Deputy CM, ministers, and the Speaker.

Currently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a visit to the United States, and it is expected that he will return to Delhi either by tonight or tomorrow morning. Upon his return, discussions will be held with senior BJP leaders, including Amit Shah and JP Nadda. After consulting with Modi, a decision is expected to be made.

It is anticipated that a legislative party meeting will be held on February 17 and 18 to choose the CM candidate. The swearing-in ceremony for the new Chief Minister is expected to take place on February 19 or 20, as reported by national media sources.
