Delhi Metro News: Passengers got angry after seeing the advertisement with the picture of Asaram Bapu, who is serving a sentence for rape, in the coach of Delhi Metro and expressed their anger on social media. People posted pictures on social media and asked DMRC for a reply on this. Now DMRC's reply has also come.

Responding to an 'X' user, DMRC said, "DMRC has issued immediate instructions to the licensee to remove these advertisements from the metro premises as soon as possible. The process of removing these advertisements will start from tonight. However, it may take some time to remove them from the system."

Passengers asked questions to DMRC

A social media user asked that the photo of rapist Asaram is installed in Delhi Metro. What is the government trying to prove by putting a rapist's photo in Delhi Metro? Why is there a rapist's photo in the train in which lakhs of girls travel everyday?

This photo has been put up on 14 February for the occasion of Maa-Pitru Pujan Diwas in which Asaram's photo is on the top and it is written that "Inspired by Pujya Sant Asaram Bapu". People are angry about this advertisement.

He has been sentenced to life imprisonment on the charge of rape

Asaram has been sentenced to life imprisonment in 2 rape cases, one case is from Surat and the other is from Jodhpur. However, recently the Supreme Court has granted interim bail to Asaram due to health reasons. Asaram has been granted bail till 31 March.
